Peter Brindley, a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers with more than 30 years of experience in heavy construction, utility infrastructure and repair, water resources, large scale bridge, and plant and road improvement, joined the Kiely Family of Companies in 2019. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Kiely Civil, he oversees all construction and engineering operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on-time, and on-budget. He also has a hand in the strategic direction of Kiely’s business units.
Engineering has run in Peter’s family for generations. As a child, he always wanted to understand how and why things were built. He went on to earn a degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Military Institute, eventually joining his family’s civil engineering business and rising to become COO.
Peter is a Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia; a certified Design-Build professional; and a member of the prestigious Moles national heavy construction organization. He was instrumental in the New York State Department of Transportation’s first-ever design-build project on Long Island, leading the project team from proposal through design, construction, and completion. Beyond his professional success, he points to his three children as his proudest achievements.
